Cooper’s Vintage Drums About Us Cooper’s Vintage Drums has been supplying quality instruments to collectors and players since 1998. Owner Mark Cooper has been a professional drummer and singer for over thirty years.... “I was first bitten by the vintage drum “bug” in 1980. During a  visit to a New York recording studio, Roger Earl (Foghat drummer)  invited me to play one of his 1930’s Slingerland Radio King snare  drums. I had never seen or heard anything like it before. I was  intrigued with the strange “cloud” shaped badge, the old fashioned  engraving on the hoop, and the overall art deco look of the drum.  When I heard the unique sound that the drum produced, I was hooked!”                                                                                           -Mark Cooper Thus became a lifetime obsession with vintage drums. After collecting and playing these wonderful old instruments, Mark Cooper decided to set up a website which offered vintage drums to drummers and collectors all over the planet. Cooper’s Vintage Drums is proud to be a part of the world wide vintage drum community serving drummers’ needs, not only in the U.S. but in many European countries. Even as far away as New Zealand, Australia and Japan. At Cooper’s Vintage Drums, we lovingly repair and restore old and sometimes neglected or abused drums, in hopes of placing them into the hands of modern day drummers who can appreciate their unique look and sound. www.coopersvintagedrums.com
