Here is a cool little 1950’s drum set finished in original Sparkling
Red Pearl. With the unique 12x20
bass
drum, and the 5x13 snare drum, this is
the perfect choice for small venues. Great for a Jazz band, too!
The 16x16 tom tom was most likely a “special
order” and all drums match perfectly. These four drums definitely came from the
factory as a complete set. All drums have three ply mahogany shells and chrome
hardware. The bass drum and snare drum have the mid-50’s “dog tag” brass badge.
The toms have no badges or air vents which did not appear on Slingerland toms until about 1963.
The bass drum has two telescopic cymbal holders and Radio King bass spurs, tom mount and claw hooks. Note the Radio King floor tom brackets. One leg is slightly shorter than the
other two. Some original Radio King calf skin heads
are included and they are in good condition.
The snare drum has the original snare wires and the strainer works
well. All hoops are chrome over solid brass. Snare stand not included.
The 8x12
tom is mounted with an original Radio King fully adjustable flat rail mount.
