RED RIPPLE Pearl Drum Set

Here is a beautiful vintage Rogers R-380 drum set finished in original Red Ripple Pearl. Made by Yamaha* for the Rogers Drum company around 1970. This configuration was known as the "Double Soul" outfit.

*Yamaha began producing drums around 1966. Around 1969 or ‘70, Yamaha changed their drum shell construction to high quality Birch wood. These thin shelled drums, with no reinforcing rings were very similar to Gretsch drums of the 60’s and 70’s, even copying their internal muffler design and painted interiors. Yamaha drums were the first high quality, professional-level drums to be produced in Japan.
