Here is a 1940 Ludwig & Ludwig drum set, finished in original White Avalon Pearl with nice nickel plated "Imperial" lugs and hardware. The finish is absolutely beautiful with a buttery, creamy white pearl color. The photos look a bit more "yellow" than the actual color. The last photo of the snare drum shows the color more accurately.

The bass drum has beautiful maple hoops with pearl inlay and calf skin heads. A small section of hoop inlay is missing at bottom and can not be seen. The tom heads are calf skin with tacked-on bottom heads. These toms have a nice musical tone. The floor tom has full calf heads on top and bottom.

All drums have date stamps inside. All are October 1040 with the exception of the floor tom which is March 1940.

• 7X14 Ludwig "Standard" model snare drum…..Three ply shell….Original white interior with date stamp October 1940….wire snares are NOT INCLUDED… THIS SNARE DRUM SOUNDS GREAT! Very clear, loud tone with plenty of power and response….
