Here is a late 1930’s Ludwig & Ludwig drum set, finished in original Sparkling Gold "Gold Flash" Pearl. This set was assembled from different Ludwig pieces in matching Gold Flash finish. While there are slight color or fade differences between one or two of the drums, when viewed together as a set, the drums fade into one beautiful flash of sparkling gold!

The 7x11, 9x13 and 7x14 snare drum are all from the same set. The gold flash finish is beautiful, especially on the tom toms. Nickel hardware.

The 7x14 "Standard" snare drum has some fade and spotting on certain sections. Three ply shell, nickel hardware.

The 12x15 floor tom is actually a late 1930’s marching drum. It comes with a cradle stand. The finish is somewhat faded as are the multi-colored pearl and sparkle geometric designs. Still a great match with the rest of the set and the sparkle is identical. Chrome hardware, key holder.

The large 14x28 bass drum is magnificent. The finish is slightly different from the other drums in that the glitter pieces are smaller. This drum is a bit older, probably from about 1930. The condition is incredible. The sparkle appears to have very little fade. Gold plated fittings add to the amazing appearance of this drum. Heavy Duty Aero-Kraft shell.

BONUS! Adding to the beauty of this unique vintage drum set is an original Ludwig factory painted drum head with interior electric lighting! During the 1920’s and 30’s, hand painted drum head scenes were all the rage among drummers. There is a small repair in the top corner of the head. It was repaired with fabric and leather glue.

When the interior lights are turned on, the mountain and lake scene comes to life with dramatic glowing colors.
