1930’s Leedy "Standard" Drum Set

Here is a late1930’s Leedy drum set finished in original White Marine Pearl. The condition is excellent.

This Leedy Standard snare drum is magnificent! The solid maple shell has the original white interior paint and is date stamped 1937. With its Standard strainer, this Leedy snare drum is very "playable" and not just a "museum piece". Modern wire snares can be used on this drum with no problem. Leedy Standard models are great sounding snare drums and this 5x14 version is no exception.

This beautiful old trap set comes equipped with an original felt lined trap tray, cymbal arms, two cymbals, a Leedy Chinese tom tom and a full set of Leedy Temple blocks. All of these 1930’s "State of the Art" accessories are in great condition. The red, black, and gold paint on the temple blocks is in unusually fine condition with very little wear. Completing this historic drum set is an original hand painted calf skin head. While not a "factory painted" head, it is an original work of art painted by the owner.
