1930’s-40’s Slingerland

"Radio King"

6.5x14 SNARE DRUM

This is a late 1930’s or very early 1940’s Radio King snare drum finished in original Sparkling Green Pearl. Along with solid maple snare drums, Slingerland offered three-ply Radio King snare drums for the drummer who preferred that sound. Solid maple shell snare drums have a harder, somewhat louder sound while three-ply drums tend to have a slightly warmer tone.

The finish on this snare drum has evenly faded to a striking gold-green color. This drum is equipped with Radio King solid brass hoops (some brass is showing through from wear).
