This is a 1937 Ludwig & Ludwig Super-Swing Model 7x14 solid maple snare drum. These Swing models usually had wood hoops on top and bottom but could be ordered with metal hoops. This particular drum has the best of both worlds! The solid maple hoop on the bottom provides warmth while the brass top hoop makes for a more durable drum. Perfect for rim shots.
